With hard work, Abdul had provided well for his two wives and six children, despite incredible hardships and seemingly endless warfare. As he and his children waited for his wives to prepare a meal, one of Abdul's sons showed the family a war relic that he had found. When Abdul saw that it was a grenade, he knew there was not enough time to take it outside, and there was no window in his house from which to throw it out. He looked at his wives and children and then covered the grenade with his body.
